Hey, pink bunnies! As you get ready to hop over to the polls this Election Day, remember that this is the first ever mail-in ballot. What that means is instead of getting your ballot in person at the polling place, you'll be getting them in the mail! The pink bunnies here at Forward Montana have checked it out and come up with a few easy steps detailing how to vote.
- Using a black ink pen or a No. 2 pencil, completely fill in the bubble next to the name of your choice. As tempted as you will be, please don't put a heart around your candidates bubble. Show your love by filling in the bubble!
- To vote for a write-in candidate, fill in the bubble to the left of the line saved for write-in candidates and write the name on the line. Pretty simple!
- Should you make a mistake on the ballot, do not try to erase your error. Simply request a new ballot. Call the county elections office at 258-4751 for further instructions.
- Place your completed ballot in the colored "secrecy" envelope and seal it. Then, place that envelope in the Voter Affidavit Envelope.
- Practice your autograph by signing the back of the Voter Affidavit Envelope.
- Return your ballot. You can do so by either mailing it in or dropping it off at a designated drop-off site. Please note that the ballots must be RECEIVED by November 6 at 8:00pm not just postmarked by then. Mail ballots to:
- Rattlesname School, 1220 Pineview Dr.
- Paxon School, 101 Evans
- Russell School, 3216 Russell
- Hellgate Elementary, 2385 Flynn Ln.
- Cold Springs, 2625 Briggs
- If you don't receive a ballot in the mail, get your cute little tail over to the courthouse (200 W. Broadway) or call the county elections office at 258-4751. They'll be glad to help out fellow pink bunny lovers!
